Eight people rescued from cable car over Pakistan valley
Eight people, including six school children, were successfully rescued after being trapped in a cable car above a remote valley in Pakistan. The daring rescue involved military helicopters and zipline experts. The operation lasted for several hours and was completed late into the night. A video of the first rescue showed a teenager being lifted to safety by a helicopter. The children had been on their way to school when the chairlift broke down. The incident prompted the caretaker Prime Minister to order inspections of all chairlifts in mountainous areas.
